Sestak seeking campaign volunteers

Former U.S. Rep. Joe Sestak is seeking volunteers for his potential 2016 Senate campaign, according to  PoliticsPA.com.

Sestak, of Edgmont, reportedly is recruiting volunteers 27 months ahead of a potential rematch against U.S. Sen. Pat Toomey, a first-term Republican. Toomey edged Sestak in 2010 when they fought for the seat left open by longtime Sen. Arlen Specter.

The full PoliticsPA story can be found here.

Sestak, who has not formally announced his campaign, trails Toomey in fundraising.

Toomey raised $795,452 in campaign donations during the final quarter of 2013, easily trumping the $150,326 gained by Sestak. Toomey had $4.05 million on hand at the end of the year; Sestak had $1.03 million.

John, I think you misread the politicspa post. It says he is recruiting 27 months before the election, not that he has 27 volunteers.

But….this is great news! Toomey needs to go!
