Adolph re-elected as PHEAA board chairman
State Rep. William Adolph, R-165, of Springfield, was re-elected as chairman of the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency board of directors.
Adolph has served as board chairman since 2007.
Created in 1963, PHEAA funds student aid programs, including the Pennsylvania State Grant program.
“It’s a special honor to serve Pennsylvania students and families as chairman of the PHEAA Board — especially considering the various challenges that many of them must deal with when planning for a higher education,” Adolph said in a statement. “Collectively, my colleagues on the board offer a wealth of real-world education, financial and business experience that helps us address the changing needs of students and families on behalf of the Commonwealth.”
State Sen. Wayne D. Fontana, D-42, of Allegheny County was re-elected as vice chair.
